Dana M. Thomas

Dana M. Thomas, 67, of West Plains, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, on May 19, 2025 Dana Marie Thomas was born on December 26, 1957, in Mtn. View, Mo, the daughter of Janice Waggoner Wharton. Dana married the love of her life and best friend, Larry Thomas, on October 6, 1979. Dana lived her life to the fullest, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to have family get togethers and would cook everything from scratch. She also loved to sing gospel music at the church singings. She is survived by her husband Larry Thomas and their children; Kristy Marie Thomas and wife Amanda Pasciak-Thomas of West Plains, Daniel Scott Thomas and wife Verline Thomas of West Plains, Patty Thomas York of Pomona, Michael Dean Thomas of West Plains. Grandchildren: Jennifer York Gunter and husband Eugene of West Plains, Dylan Thomas York and wife Whitney of Ava, Shane Tyler York of Sparta, Steven Micheal Thomas and wife Sherry of West Plains, Emily Sue Thomas of Illinois, Grant Joseph Thomas of Illinois, Dean Pasciak Thomas of West Plains, Troy Hendricks of Springfield, Bella Thomas of West Plains and Justus Drake of West Plains, Margaret "Maggie" Pasciak-Thomas and 10 great grandchildren, and her sister, Wilma Ashlock and husband Clarence of Skiatook, Oklahoma. Dana was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Wharton, sister Evelyn “Jerri” Highfield, sister Anita Bradford, her four brothers, Daniel “Leroy” Smith, Virgil “Butch” Flower, Paul Wharton, Robert Jay Wharton. Her granddaughter Bethanie Lynn Thomas precedes her along with son-in-law Randy York, nephew Kelly Lee Cunningham, niece Ella Mae Cunningham, father & mother-in-law Joseph Eugene & Hazel Thomas. Dana will be missed and loved by all who knew her and was loved by everyone.
